KDY Conversations: Elizabeth McGuane

Elizabeth is an independent content strategist, editor and UX designer working in London. She was first a journalist, then worked in some tiny, middle-sized and very large digital agencies before becoming an independent content strategy consultant.

As Elizabeth explained, Content Strategy is a marriage between Information Architecture and Content Creation. The field itself is a result of the question ‘What If’.

At Kyoorius Designyatra 2014, Elizabeth talked about Crew Mentality (among other things as well)- telling people how it is important not to give up on the idea of taking an alternate path. Individual contributions build up to a big collective effort, for instance when making a movie, “although you may not own the whole story, you still are very much a part of it.”
