Could your bronze have been a gold?

Your agency has created some great work that you’re confident is of award-winning quality. On the awards night, the work wins a metal, but only a bronze. You look at the gold and silver winning entries and you don’t quite understand why they were adjudged to be better than your entry.

That’s what this session is all about – understanding how to tell stories about your entries that global juries can understand.

The session will help you understand what jurors look for in submitted work, how the dynamics of a large and multinational jury work and how juries compare work when arriving at a final decision.

Kyoorius FYIdays are led by specialist speakers on a defined subject and will have a limited attendance of 25 people for workshops and around 100 people for a seminar. Kyoorius FYIday becomes the perfect platform to interact more closely & directly with the speaker, industry leaders and peers.

About Tim Lindsay, CEO of D&AD

Born in Lincolnshire and brought up in East Africa, Tim Lindsay was educated at St. Andrew’s School Turi, Kingswood School Bath, Magdalene College Cambridge and Harvard Business School (AMP 155).

He has spent thirty-six years in advertising as, successively, joint managing director of BBH; managing director of Y&R London; CEO, then European President, then Worldwide President of Lowe Howard-Spink/Lowe Lintas/Lowe Worldwide; Chairman of Publicis UK and President of TBWA\UK and Ireland.

He has worked with a wide range of clients including LEGO, Levi’s, Stella Artois, Tesco, Smirnoff, Olympus, SAAB, Sony, Electrolux, Heineken, the Independent and Army Recruitment.

Tim became CEO of D&AD, the advertising and design awards show and education charity, in September 2011 and is also non-executive chairman of advertising agency network the Gate Worldwide.

In real life he is married to Caroline and has four children; Ben, Georgia, Ella and Jessie.

He likes books, art, cooking, skiing, cycling, dogs and Chelsea FC.
