“After working in advertising agencies for many years, two sisters finally started out on their own. Thus was born – ‘Sisterconcern Design Studio’. They needed stationery that would convey their approach of working as a team in a charming way.”
As a pair of sisters working together, designers Padma Irani and Irawati Malegaonkar humorously named their studio Sisterconcern Design Studio. Their submission for the Stationery Design category delighted its way into the In-book with the sweet and heartfelt execution of their concept. Their brief to themselves was to make stationery that would convey their approach of working as a team in a charming way.
Using the sisters’ childhood pictures as their business cards, the set included a fun-to-assemble DIY letterhead that only required a business card, a paper clip and a rubber stamp. The colour palette was decided according to the sisters’ individual favourite colours. Decisions like these give the design, apart from being elegantly simple, a sense of personal connection with the founders.
