The Kyoorius Creative Awards aim to acknowledge the dilution of boundaries between media, advertising and digital, as all creative work has to be an amalgamation of the three to be recognised in today’s age. Organised in partnership with D&AD, the 2016 Kyoorius Creative Awards bring together these distinguished platforms under one roof to celebrate excellence.
At the 2016 Kyoorius Creative Awards Night at Dome@NSCI, Worli, Mumbai on 03 June, 2016, the third edition of the show was attended by more than 1500 professionals including CEOs, Marketing Directors, Brand Managers, Creative and Media gurus from the advertising, digital and media industries.
There are no Gold, Silver or Bronze winners like any conventional awards’ show. We have In-book or Baby Elephant winners, Blue Elephants within the specific categories of digital, advertising and media and Black Elephants, which are the best of the best, across categories. This year, we re-christened the awards as the ‘Kyoorius Creative Awards’, to give impetus to the seamlessness of digital, ad and media in any successful project.
Here are the highlights of the show…
A total of 1863 entries were submitted this year. The jury based their decisions on three criteria: 1. an original and inspiring idea, 2. commendable execution and 3. relevance to its context. Post the jury session concluded successfully by the foremen Ralph Barnett, National Creative Director, SapientNitr (Digital Jury Foreman); R. Balki, Group Chairman, MullenLowe Lintas (Advertising Jury Foreman) and Mike Florence, Head of Planning, PHD Media (Media Jury Foreman), 164 entries were shortlisted as Baby Elephant (In-book) winners.
Out of these 164 Baby elephant winners, 69 entries were awarded Blue Elephants and 2 entries were awarded the exclusive Black Elephant.
Black Elephants are reserved for work that represents the best of the best, work that takes risks, creates a new conversation with the audience or has a lasting impact on the industry. Black Elephant winners are:
