The 21st issue of Kyoorius Magazine is out!
The pages of this issue are filled with stories of people who have taken “a leap of faith” at some point in their careers. Self-starters, game changers, rule breakers, call them what you will, but there exists a breed of entrepreneurs, designers, managers and not-so-ordinary men and women, who regularly question how things are done and take it upon themselves to find a new way forward. We spoke to Piyush Pandey, Sujata Keshavan and Alok Nanda about pivotal moments in their careers; and Ajay Shah of Rubberband, Kartik Iyer of Happy Creative Services about jumping into unchartered territory.
We’ve picked up on the growing interest in digital design. Digital solutions are becoming more and more human, and seamlessly integrated into our lives. Take an in-depth look at User Experience (UX) in India, through exceptionally well-designed apps such as Zomato, Bookmyshow and Cleartrip; and read about how the digital scene has changed from Hungama Digital Service’s CCO, Carlton d’Silva.
These features accompany our regular columns, which include an exclusive case study of the Royal Enfield rebrand by Codesign, a long conversation with industrial designer Michael Foley in My Life in Design, and a look into the history behind Godrej’s iconic locks. The last few months formed a hectic awards season, and we’ve covered Cannes Lions, Goafest and our very own inaugural Kyoorius Advertising & Digital Awards.
To close the issue, Michael Johnson of johnson banks wrote an insightful and provocative article about India’s search for its own (design) voice, which has sparked debate across the Internet.
Last but not least, we’ve explored this year’s theme at Kyoorius Designyatra, What if? The special report is a collection of stories told in the words of those who have neither been afraid to ask those questions nor have they been defeated when facing the risks and challenges involved.
With that we wish you happy reading and hope to see you at #KDY14 in Goa next month!
